Course One: WADEPS Overview and Requirements

This introductory course provides a foundational understanding of the legislative requirements and what use-of-force incident data is to be shared by agencies with WADEPS. 

Audience: Recommended by WADEPS for all active and reserve law enforcement officers in Washington state and for professional staff as deemed appropriate by law enforcement agencies.

Length: Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete all four modules.

Availability: Hosted by the Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC). Officer completion rates from this platform are part of the agency participation data in the WADEPS dashboard.

Course Two: WADEPS Data Entry

A walk-through demonstration of the WADEPS Reporting Tool. Agency leaders may assign the course to additional personnel as appropriate for their organization.

Audience: Personnel responsible for entering and/or approving use-of-force data in the WADEPS system.

Length: Approximately 30 minutes to complete all three modules.

Availability: Hosted by the Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC). The modules will also be made available through the WADEPS Reporting Tool for authorized personnel who do not have a CJTC student account:
