Key Dates and Milestones

Beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025, law enforcement agencies must begin the process of sharing reportable use-of-force (UOF) incident data and monthly computer-aided dispatch (CAD) data with WADEPS.

An overview of key milestones and due dates in September and October is provided below.

September 2

The process begins:

Reporting Tool is live and able to receive UOF and CAD data.

All agency points-of-contact begin activating their live WADEPS accounts.

Public Dashboard is available with two layers of data: contextual data about communities, and characteristics and participation data about agencies.

September 2-30

Agencies start entering reportable UOF incident data as best fits their operational structure. 

Data on reportable UOF incidents in September may be shared with WADEPS at any time within 30 days of the date of the incident.

New! Reportable UOF incident data for August may be entered in the Reporting Tool if desired, but is not required and will not be displayed on the public dashboard.

Historical CAD data (up to five years’ worth) may be shared with WADEPS for analysis at any time in September. 

New! Officers may begin activating their live WADEPS accounts. Timing will be at the agency’s discretion

October 1-5

Agencies provide CAD data for all calls for service from January 1 through the month of September to WADEPS.

Agencies with no reportable UOF incidents in the month of September report “zero incidents” to WADEPS.

October 6–8

Public Dashboard is available with four layers of data:

October 1-31

Agencies enter reportable UOF incident data within the 30-day window for each incident and as best fits their operational structure.

November 1-5

Agencies provide CAD data to WADEPS for all calls for service from January 1 through the month of October.

Agencies with no reportable UOF incidents in the month of October report “zero incidents” to WADEPS.
